Democracy, A game we cannot win. Why? Because all the players are bought off.

As we all know, the republican congressmen are all getting paid by the corporate billionaires. Then you have the Democratic congressman who receive most of their campaign money from large corporate interests. They probably represent about half of the leadership of the party. Then you have the other half, who are heavily financed by Aipac, a pro-Israeli group mostly financed by large Jewish owned corporations, and the state of Israel, using funds obtained from the US government. An example of these contributions to legislators who are supposed to be representing American taxpayers, is the 1.5 million they have contributed to Hakeem Jeffries, the leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives. I doubt he is receiving this sizable funding from the ordinary citizens he is supposed to represent. This could account for the complaints that he does little to represent the interest of all Americans, whom he is supposed to represent as leader of the democrats in the house. His excuse for these contributions is that he has many Jews in his congressional district. While this may be true, the Jewish population is the US is about 5%. What about the interest of the other 95%, who do not accept the Genocide Israel is conducting against the Palestinians, whose land they have confiscated with the aid of the US government. This would never have happened without the influence these pay offs to American congressmen have wrought.

Then there is Chuck Schumer, the leader of the Democrats in the Senate. He has received over 1.7 million from Aipac in his career. He also appears to represent Israel in the Senate, while asleep at the wheel when American interests are concerned. With the Democratic national leaders representing a foreign country, what chance do we have of saving our Democracy from a Psychotic Narcissist who has taken over our government, using all these conditions that has divided our country.

It now appears that the only group that is genuinely working for the good of the nation, is a small group with the unlikely name, Democratic Socialist of America, or DSA. With a name like that, how can they expect to win the heart and minds of America, when Americans have been propagandized to believe that Socialist are dirty commies. The fact is, modern socialists, such as the form of socialism practice by the Scandinavian countries, works very well for their citizens. Healthcare, education, childcare and general wellbeing is provided by the government. The propaganda coming from the insurance companies in the US says we cannot afford to provide these services that we pay for in our taxes. The fact is, in these countries, the average per capita cost of healthcare is half what we pay in the US, and it is rated among the best in the world, while ours is ranked the worst among industrialized Nations. The one difference in the belief system of the DSA and your ordinary progressive Democrat, is they do not approve of capitalism. This is understandable, considering the way capitalism is used in the US. Our tax system allows the very wealthy to avoid paying taxes through loopholes that the legislators in congress have inserted in our laws to facilitate this outrage. Those in power right now, are saying they will probably have to cut social Security benefits in the near future, because they are running out of money. The federal government has borrowed from the social Security trust fund an amazing 2.56 Trillion dollars. The 5.5 trillion in tax breaks the Republicans just gave to the billionaires (and one trillionaire) would have easily paid this money back, with interest. Not only that, the fact that a billionaire contributes 6.2% toward Social Security, and that is only for the first 175,000 they claim on their taxes. That is like pennies to them. Only .0175% of a billionaires’ income. Even if they paid just one percent of their income, this would help pay the Medicare for their employees who have helped make them rich.

My point is, the DSA, or communists as Trump is calling them, have a lot better plan for the average citizen of this country than the parasites preying upon us. The chief parasite happens to be Donald Trump. While many independents and liberal Democrats recognize this fact, there are many who are put off by the word socialist. They are not sure if it is better to live under a fascist regime, or an efficiently run government, ran by a group with a name like socialist.

There is another small group however, with a better name than Democratic Socialist. This group, who have a similar agenda as the SDA, are rather small and unknown. The difference is, they approve of capitalism, as long as the capitalist pay their taxes to support healthcare, childcare, and education for all. They are the Social Democrats of America, or SDA. I think many progressive Democrats are aligned with this group, they just don’t know it. I think everyone should check them out. They believe basically the same things as Bernie Sanders and AOC. I think many democrats and independents have been tagged with the name DSA, because they have the same ideas about freedom in America. The socialist tag gives maga the permission to call them communists. They are calling El Sayed a communist, and he is a regular progressive Democrat. I’ve got a great idea. Why don’t the Democrats, the Independents, the Democratic Socialist, and the Social Democrats all get together and throw the maga republicans out of office, and rebuild our Democracy on the principles in our Constitution. We can work it out if we get rid of this negative force in our affairs.
